goAML reporting software for Tanzania's reporting persons.
Schema-valid suspicious transaction, cash and electronic funds transfer reports for the Financial Intelligence Unit's goAML portal, validated against the live schema and business rules before they leave your building, with an immutable record of every filing.
Built for the Financial Intelligence Unit's goAML portal.
The Anti-Money Laundering Act (Cap. 423 R.E. 2023) and the 2019 cash and EFT reporting regulations set the reporting clock, on the Mainland and, through Zanzibar's own Act, on the islands. Each step maps to the part of the goAML platform that handles it.
Report cash of USD 10,000 or more and EFTs of USD 1,000 or more
Cash transactions and electronic funds transfers are detected against the USD-denominated lines at the Bank of Tanzania rate, related cash transactions within 24 hours are treated as one, and the reports are assembled for the five-working-day window.
File STRs within 24 hours of forming suspicion
Parties, accounts and narrative are compiled in one workspace, so the MLRO reviews a complete report rather than assembling one against one of the tightest STR clocks in the region.
File XML that the FIU's goAML portal accepts
CTR and STR XML is generated automatically and conforms to the FIU's current goAML XSD version. We maintain each deployment as schema versions change, so nobody hand-builds XML or keeps a macro alive against a moving schema.
Fix errors before the FIU sees them
Every report is validated against the live goAML XSD and business rules before submission, with errors deep-linked to the field, so a rejection does not start the FIU's clock running against you.
Keep records for at least 10 years and show the examiner
An immutable record of every report, amendment and filing — who filed what, and when — exportable for examinations.
This maps software capability to reporting duties; it is not legal advice. For registration and filing mechanics, see the Tanzania FIU goAML reporting guide.
Frequently asked questions.
Does the software work with the FIU's goAML portal?
Yes. Each deployment is configured to the FIU's current goAML XSD, and we maintain it as schema versions change so your reports stay valid. Every file is validated against the schema and business rules before it is submitted.
What is the STR deadline in Tanzania?
Within 24 hours after forming the suspicion, and where possible before the transaction is carried out, under section 18(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Cap. 423 R.E. 2023 (section 17(1) before the Revised Edition). The 2022 Regulations phrase it as 24 working hours; build the process to the stricter reading.
Which transactions must be reported to the FIU in Tanzania?
Cash transactions of USD 10,000 or more and electronic funds transfers of USD 1,000 or more, or the equivalent at the Bank of Tanzania rate at the time of the transaction. Related cash transactions within 24 hours that together reach USD 10,000 count as one, and reports are due within five working days, under the 2019 Electronic Funds Transfer and Cash Transaction Reporting Regulations.
Where is the FIU's goAML portal?
The Financial Intelligence Unit's goAML production portal is at goaml.fiu.go.tz. Creodata is not the FIU and does not run the portal: registration on it is your institution's own step, and our software prepares and validates the reports you submit there.
How long does deployment take?
Typically six to eight weeks from kickoff to your first live submission, depending on the number and complexity of the data sources we connect.
Where is our data hosted?
Every customer runs single-tenant in its own Azure tenancy, so your transaction and customer data is never co-mingled with another reporting entity's. There is no Azure region in Tanzania; if the data has to stay in your own data centre, ask us about on-premises deployment.
