goAML reporting software for South Africa's accountable institutions.
Schema-valid cash threshold and suspicious transaction reports for the Financial Intelligence Centre's goAML portal, validated against the schema and business rules before they leave your building, with an immutable record of every filing.
Built for the Financial Intelligence Centre's goAML portal.
The Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001, the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Control Regulations and the FIC's guidance notes set the reporting clock. Each step maps to the part of the goAML platform that handles it.
Report cash above R49,999.99 within three days
Cash paid or received above the threshold is detected and assembled for filing within the three-day window, so the threshold is never checked by eye in a spreadsheet.
File STRs and SARs within 15 days
Parties, accounts and narrative are compiled in one workspace, so the MLRO reviews a complete report, with the reason for reporting and the action taken, well inside the FIC's 15-day limit.
File XML that the FIC's goAML portal accepts
CTR and STR XML is generated automatically and conforms to the FIC's current goAML XSD version. We maintain each deployment as schema versions change, so nobody hand-builds XML or keeps a macro alive against a moving schema.
Fix errors before the FIU sees them
Every report is validated against the live goAML XSD and business rules before submission, with errors deep-linked to the field, so a rejection does not start the FIC's clock running against you.
Keep records for at least five years and show the examiner
An immutable record of every report, amendment and filing — who filed what, and when — exportable for examinations.
This maps software capability to reporting duties; it is not legal advice. For registration and filing mechanics, see the South Africa FIC goAML reporting guide.

Frequently asked questions.
Does the software work with the FIC's goAML portal?
Yes. Each deployment is configured to the FIC's current goAML XSD, and we maintain it as schema versions change so your reports stay valid. Every file is validated against the schema and business rules before it is submitted.
What are the FIC's reporting deadlines?
Suspicious and unusual transaction reports (STRs, and SARs for incomplete transactions) go to the FIC as soon as possible and no later than 15 days after becoming aware of the facts, and cash threshold reports for cash above R49,999.99 no later than 3 days after becoming aware of the transaction, in both cases excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (regulation 24 of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Control Regulations). All of them are filed on goAML.
Does the FIC expect reports to be validated before submission?
Yes. The FIC's Guidance Note 5C asks institutions to conduct appropriate pre-validation so that accurate information reaches it on time, and reports must follow the reporting system's schema and business rules (Guidance Note 4B). Every report is validated against the goAML schema and business rules before it leaves your building.
Where is the FIC's goAML portal?
The Financial Intelligence Centre's goAML production portal is at goweb.fic.gov.za. Creodata is not the FIC and does not run the portal: registration on it is your institution's own step, and our software prepares and validates the reports you submit there.
How long does deployment take?
Typically six to eight weeks from kickoff to your first live submission, depending on the number and complexity of the data sources we connect.
Where is our data hosted?
Every customer runs single-tenant in its own Azure tenancy, so your transaction and customer data is never co-mingled with another reporting entity's. Microsoft Azure has regions in South Africa (South Africa North in Johannesburg and South Africa West in Cape Town); ask us which region your deployment would use, or about on-premises deployment.
